Okay, here's the deal - we've got a whole bunch of crazy old mofos knocking around out there in the world at large, liberally mixed throughout "the general public". These insanitary indivduals should be shunned by society, but we keep their identities secret.

I don't want this to turn into another one of those "oh my god, absolutely everything's awful and we're all surrounded by it with no hope of escape, and even if it wasn't all completely awful and some of it was marginally tolerable then we'd still all be surrounded by it and that's just awful enough on its own" article.
